Hot Guys in Class

Ok so I was sitting in my cinema class today and I realized how many hot guys there were in it haha The class has like 300 people in it and at least 60 are super hot. Too bad we watch a movie in the dark half the time so I can't see them! But in all seriousness, there are some fine ass dudes at my school. If you could see my facebook pictures, you'd definitely see what I mean! Ok that just sounded creepy but who cares ha

This song is just plain catchy and fun. It just makes me want to dance!

Photography

Just thought I'd share what I wrote for photography class. Let me know what you think! And yes, it's a bit long lol

Photographs are more than just prints on paper or images on a screen. Each image is a different view of the world see through a small glass lens. A camera, whatever style, size or price, does the same exact thing. It captures a small piece of the world and translates it to film. A simple enough chemical process produces mind-blowing, simple, elegant and not-so-good images. Although technical aspects play a large part in the physical make-up of a photograph, the subject and photographer are what sets it apart from any other style of art.
Unlike paintings, photos capture the world in it’s most raw form. An artist can paint an apple but a photographer can capture every detail of it’s skin, the shadow cast and the depth of field in an instant. The “man behind the camera” controls what the viewer will see. He/She can take an ordinary scene and with the right framing, create a masterpiece, full of action, drama and emotion. Robert Frank’s View from Hotel Window - Butte, Montana is simply a shot out of a hotel window onto a small, desolate mining town. Frank’s framing, however, makes it more than just a photo. It’s a window into someone else, how they feel, how they see things.
A photo is a snapshot of reality. Taken in a moments time, it freezes time, allowing the viewer to see what is really there, what they don’t see everyday. Photography isn’t about being all artsy and finding the coolest scene to capture. It’s about seeing the world for what it really is and noticing what is already in front of us. A true photographer doesn’t need to set the stage for every photo they take. Keeping in mind the subject, frame, exposure and focus, a photographer can create beautiful images while sitting on their couch or walking through a rainforest.

Shopping

Holy crap I just spend a lot of money today! haha Well I was out of groceries and needed new clothes so I'm totally justified in my spending haha I actually don't like spending money but I haven't bought new clothes since March so it was much needed. I really needed to get some shoes but of course I bought everything but shoes ha

Anyways, although I said I was not going to like guys for awhile, I had coffee with this guy yesterday and I had a good time! We are getting dinner tomorrow so that'll be fun. We seem to have similar personalities so that's good. I usually go for guys with different personalities than me but since that hasn't really worked, it's time to change it up! I'll report on the dinner on Monday. Hopefully tomorrow I'll do a beginning of the year "preview" post about what I want to happen this year.

This band is pretty dank. Give it a listen. Geez I just realized I have 6107 songs on my iTunes. There is no way I listen to everything haha

Hump Day!

Well my post title is much more exciting than my actual post! ha But yeah school is going well. I love my photography class! We took pics today and edited them together in photoshop, it was pretty dang cool. Right now I'm only taking 12 units, which isn't a lot, and I'm kinda loving it haha but I'm going to try to take one more class. My mom wouldn't be too happy she's paying $41,000 to have me only take 3 classes haha!

So tonight I went to the LA Philharmonic and Jason Mraz concert. It was freaking fantastic! I really wish I had a date (insert lonely face here) but I had a really great time with a few friends. Next time I'm totally bringing wine and picnic food.

Right now I think I'm going to go on a hiatus from liking guys. I just found out the guy I kinda liked is seeing someone, but he kept flirting with me for the past few weeks. I think it's pretty rude to flirt with someone else while going out with someone. It's really weird to because when we had lunch two weeks ago, he brought the guy he's seeing but ignored him the whole time and flirted hardcore with me...while his guy was there. Strange.

But enough of my rant! Instead of a music suggestion tonight, I'm gonna suggest a movie...

Singin' in the Rain

We watched it in my class yesterday and it was my first time seeing it. It was amazing! Now I don't really like musicals, but I loved this one. Let me know of any other ones I should watch!

School

Back to the grind of school. Tomorrow is officially the first day of my junior year of college. Man I feel freaking old! But in a good way haha Well my first class is a Digital Photography class so it shouldn't be that hard. I'm actually really looking forward to the class.

Ok well this is a short post cause I'm off to bed. Six days of straight partying really poops you out!

This song kinda sums up what I'm feeling lately. I'll explain more tomorrow.

Party?

Ok so I was bad at posting this weekend haha but I'm doing it now and that's what counts, right? Anyways, today is move-in day at school and it's freaking crazy busy. I checked in a few hundred people all day (outside in 90 degrees and humid!) and now I should start getting ready for the night. We have two days called "Pre-Rush" at our school and it's essentially a gigantic party on our fraternity row where every house is open and no freshman are allowed! It's pretty much a huge street party with lots of booze, loud music and hella hot guys haha

The guy I like is in a frat so my friends and I are going to stop by there and say hi. Hopefully he's there and I'll get to see him! Anyways, not much has been going on in the past few days. Lots of tequila and margaritas and friends haha School starts on Monday so we have to get all of our partying out this weekend so I can be a good student!

I know I've been slacking major on the music! So here are some pump up songs for going out, USC style...

DJ Got Us Fallin In Love Again by Usher
Dynamite by Taio Cruz
Alejandro (Afrojack Remix) by Lady Gaga
Pursuit of Happiness (Steve Aoki Remix) by Kid Cudi
Warp 1.9 by The Bloody Beetroots
Love the Way You Lie by Eminem
I Like It (Cahill Club Mix) by Enrique Iglesias

Our school is a more techno heavy than most places, but it just makes dancing more fun! Hopefully I'll have some good stories tomorrow haha

Busy, Busy, Busy

Oh man has this past week been busy! Training and staff bonding from 9am-9pm everyday really makes you tired. I work with the best staff, and best looking! haha Last night a few of us went out to Tigerheat which was a blast. Oh I guess I should tell you that Tigerheat is a gay club haha But yeah it was a blast.

Anyways, tonight is the finale of training so we have a banquet which should be good. After that, a few of my friends and I are going to a DJ show in Hollywood woo! haha I'm just excited that I can sleep in tomorrow! OK well it's a short post today but a better one this weekend I promise!

Eating

OK so I should start of by saying that I LOVE to eat! That might even be an understatement. Food is soooo amazing! But I digress, so this week we started training and we get 3 meals a day at our campus cafeteria. I'm not gonna lie, I hate to do dishes (I'm pretty sure everyone hates dishes) so I am so excited to be eating and not doing dishes for 3 weeks! Eating at this place, EVK, brings back so many memories of freshman year. Getting dinner with my floormates, hangover breakfasts and running down to the soda machines to get chasers for a night of drinking! haha It was always a place to people watch (one of my favorite activities!) and we always had great conversations there. It's kinda weird to be back there because I'm freaking old now! haha But it's still awesome. What do you guys remember about your college cafeterias? I'm curious to know!

Anyways, my music choice for the day is...

Lucky by Jason Mraz ft. Colbie Caillat

I'm going to a concert in a few weeks with the LA Philharmonic and Jason Mraz and I'm SUPER stoked so I'll be on a Jason Mraz binge until then haha

Going For It

So I FINALLY asked out the guy I've been wanting to ask out all summer. I guess it took me so long because I don't do failure. I'm not saying that to be cocky, I just know what I want and get it because I do what I need to get it. BUT in the dating world, it's not that easy. You are not in control of the situation, you have another person involved and that makes things 1000x harder but the risks are what makes the outcome that much better, well better if positive! haha We exchanged numbers and I really want to text him, but I'm not really sure what to say. Is a normal "Hey how's is going" ok or is something else better?

Anyways, I woke up at 12:30pm today (which I never do! I'm usually up at 8 exactly everyday) and now I'm doing some pre-training homework. It's a gorgeous day outside so I think I'm going to head outside and work out there!

For the music today, I'm really excited for the new Tron Legacy movie and Daft Punk is scoring the entire movie so I've been on a Daft Punk kick all day. Listen to anything by them. They are energetic and fun! What a perfect way to start the week...
