Friday night and Moving

Yes I know it's a Friday night and I am sitting at home packing. So lame but I have to move to my new apartment tomorrow and still haven't started packing haha I'm only moving like 2 minutes down the street so I'm pretty much just putting my crap in boxes and bags and throwing them in the car. Today I had work off so I pretty much was just lazy the whole day. I went to lunch, watched Tron, napped, ate dinner and watched Jersey Shore haha A very productive day.

OK so instead of packing I'm gonna go get frozen yogurt with my friend in little Tokyo haha and probably drinking at a frat house after. Packing fail!

Magazines

Oh boy do I love reading magazines. I mean besides the pictures, I really do like reading what a few publications have to say. GQ and Details are probably my two favorite. They have fantastic ads (yes I know it's nerdy to notice how well done the ads are haha), compelling articles and damn hot models! ha But for reals, I can spend all day reading a magazine cover to cover. I would love to work for one of these magazines one day, hopefully an internship next summer!

I really need a haircut, so when I was reading today, I found one that I like. The cover of GQ May 2010, Jake Gyllenhaal, was the lucky winner haha I always find it so much more helpful to bring a picture of the haircut you want to the barber. That way it's much harder to mess up. I have an interview for an internship in TV production tomorrow so I want to look good! haha

OK well short post today but I need to do laundry now.

Some good ol' gangsta rap for your Monday. I'm not the biggest fan of rap anymore but I still love these classics!

Have a good week.

Running

I love running. It clears my head and makes me feel so...happy! haha Did you know that men are more likely to express their emotions while exercising? I see this fact as a perfect date. Why not play a match of tennis and get a quick lunch or a pick-up game of basketball and a picnic! You get your daily workout in while spending time with the guy you like. Best of both worlds really.

I've recently decided that I'm going to ask my friend on a date when we all get back to school. I'm still undecided on what to do though so I'll ask all of you, out in cyber world, what you think: should we 1) go to the John Mayer concert or 2) go to the beach and surf and picnic?

Anyways, I'm off to go running. Enjoy your Wednesday!

Friends

Yesterday I went down to Newport Beach with my friend and her classmates. We had a blast and it was a perfect day. The weather was gorgeous, the surf was good and the food was incredible. But while I was driving back I couldn't help to think, what if I had more gay friends? I mean I'm pretty open with my friends and we are all very, very close but I don't really have any gay friends I can relate to. I don't know why but recently I've been watching Queer as Folk and it's made me realize that pretty much all my friends are straight, well at least my good friends. I have friends that I see at parties and around campus but non that are close and I can just hang out with. Is it possible to have my best straight friends and make new gay friends? Sometimes I have to wonder if the two groups could interact together in the same way that I interact with each separately.

On a side note, I've been having the same type of dream for a few days now. It's weird cause I never remember my dreams but I can remember most of my dreams that have happened the past couple of days. More on that later haha

Bay Area Adventures

So this last weekend was my first trip to San Francisco and Berkeley and it was awesome! Some friends and I took an adventure to visit our friend staying in Berkeley. I had never been to Berk before but it didn't disappoint. The city is my kind of city. It's a college town that actually caters to young people and the general feel of the place is real chill and fun. Now I've never really been a big fan of Los Angeles, but going up to the Bay really made me realize how much I don't like LA haha

SF is simply amazing. The city has it's own flow and life. It really has everything I'd want in a place to live. The city, suburbs, parks, beauty, culture and the ability to escape over the bridge to nature. I've never fell in love with a single place faster. I am definitely going to try to live there after graduation.

Overall the weekend was awesome. Spain won the World Cup and I discovered a new favorite city.

Here are some pics I snapped, check them out. And yes it's just a few of them. After spending 2 hours uploading 350 pictures on facebook I am never putting that many pictures online again haha

San Francisco

It's finally the weekend! Ok well I only worked 3 days this week haha but I'm going to Berkeley and San Francisco this weekend with my friends and I'm super excited! We are making it a road trip and leaving tomorrow morning. It's only a 6 hour drive so it won't be bad. I really wish that my friends and I were 21 so we could go out but oh well just a few more months til my birthday haha

This will be a short post, I still need to pack haha, but I'll make sure to do a good update next week when I get back. I've also been meaning to say that if any of you want to ask me anything just shoot me an email at trojanblogger@gmail.com. I'd love to talk with some of you! Also I just got a twitter but I am still confused by it so just email me and I can give you the link haha

Good 'ol California

So this weekend is the 4th of July and it kinda sucks that I'm not going to be at home for the holiday. I've never been away for the 4th so it'll be weird to not BBQ and swim with all my cousins in the day and go see fireworks with my friends at night. But all is not lost, I'm going hiking and to the beach in Malibu this weekend and maybe to Newport Beach for the 4th with a friend.

This week has been pretty blah haha EDC was so amazing this past weekend! There were 185,000 people at this two-day music festival at our school's football stadium. Like seriously, almost 200,000 freaking people dancing and having the best time of their lives! Look at these videos of my favorite DJs. I know techno/dance music is still a West Coast thing but still check out how freaking huge this event was: MSTRKRFTSwedish House Mafia and Benny Benassi. Keep in mind that the main stage was probably 100 ft. high and for a reference to see how big the stadium is...stadium.

This past weekend was one of the best of my life! My friends and I went crazy and danced for 24 hours. Next weekend I'm going up to San Francisco with my friends to visit another friend from school. We are road tripping it up the coast and I'm so excited! Too bad I won't be 21 to visit the bars haha

It's Gonna Be Me - 'N Sync

This popped up in my iTunes and I forgot how awesome these guys were haha Turn this on this weekend and I guarantee everybody will start breaking out and singing it ha!
